The first season of the comedy series premiered on HBO Max on March 3, 2022, and the season came to a conclusion on March 24, 2022. Meanwhile, in June 2022, HBO Max greenlit the series for its sophomore installment. Elsewhere, in a recent interview, showrunner and cast member Taika Watiti talked about the production of the second season.
He stated, “We start filming hopefully I think by October, and we’re gonna shoot in New Zealand. We shot the last one in LA. Weird place to try and do something all on the ocean, so we’re gonna go down to New Zealand which is surrounded by it. That’s one of the things I’m most excited about for the next year.”
