Young Justice Season 4 Part 2: Will Superboy Rise From The Dead? Know Release Date

HBO Max recently concluded the first half of its animated superhero series, Young Justice Season 4, in December 2021. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the second half of the fourth season after the release of the first thirteen episodes during the first half. The current season has received a great deal of viewership along with an impressive overall rating of 8.7/10 on IMDB and 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. The first half of Young Justice Season 4 covered three crucial story arcs. The first arc depicted the adventures of Miss martian and Superboy as they traveled to mars and had a traditional Martian marriage. Unfortunately, the most disappointing moment of the first arc was Superboy’s death. Conner Kent sacrificed his life to save the Green and Red Martian races from a viral bomb detonation. The second arc focused on Tigress as she dealt with her traumatic past and reconciled with her sister Cheshire. She also found out about her connections with the League of Shadows.

The final arc of the first part followed Zatanna and her proteges as they tried to prevent the annihilation of the Earth. The epic battle between the two Lord of Chaos threatened the Earth’s total destruction. Meanwhile, Vandal Savage prepared to leave the planet to save himself. Ultimately, Zatanna and her crew managed to avert the danger with the help of some unexpected allies in Young Justice Season 4 Part 1. 

Young Justice Season 4 Part 2: What To Expect?

We can expect to see numerous story arcs during the second half of season 4. The current season will feature a total of 26 episodes, which means we have 13 more episodes remaining to watch when the show returns. During the second half, we can expect to see an arc related to Superboy’s death coming up again. He is believed to have sacrificed his life to save the Martians from a viral bomb. However, some fans believe that the time-traveling Legion of Superheroes had faked his death. 

Thus, it will be interesting to witness if Superboy gets resurrected in Young Justice Season 4 Part 2. However, Zatanna had a vision where she claimed to have seen Connor’s spirit and felt that he was not at rest. Thus, it will be thrilling to find how the second part deals with Superboy’s death. Moreover, we can expect to see a number of subplots regarding Best Boy’s opiate abuse and Mary Bromfield being corrupted by Granny Goodness.

As per the latest mid-season trailer, we see a glimpse of the time-traveling superheroes and Conner kissing Miss Martian in a vision. Moreover, the Justice team will be facing some new threats from dangerous villains like Darkseid, who threatens to destroy the whole galaxy. Thus, we can expect to see a lot of action and some shocking revelations coming ahead during the second half of season 4.

How Did The First Half Conclude?

In the mid-season finale, Klarion and the heroes confronted the Child once again. Meanwhile, Phantom and Vandal tried to convince the Lords of Order and Chaos that Earth would play a crucial role in stopping the universal threat from Darkseid. Luckily, the Lords removed the Child’s power booster, and Traci defeated him soon after. Moreover, Mary decided to quit the team when she was excluded from hosting Fate in her body.

Khalid suspected that Zatanna had trained her proteges to rescue her father. He also volunteered to be the first host for Fate. In the end, Zatanna had a weird vision about Connor crying for help, and Garfield broke up with Perdita in Young Justice Season 4.

Young Justice Season 4 Part 2: When Will It Return?

The showrunner Greg Weisman revealed that 21 out of the 26 episodes were complete when the fourth season premiered in October 2021. He believes that the remaining episodes will be concluded by the end of the year. Moreover, the mid-season teaser suggests that Young Justice Season 4 Part 2 will return by Spring 2022.
