In the previous episode, Ye-jin and Seo-jin found out about Kang-ho’s ex, Ha-young, who was getting married soon. Everyone in the village appeared shocked as Kang-ho was about to become the president’s son-in-law. They decided not to create a mess in Young-soon’s life, but she appeared at the right time and told them that people could live as they wanted. Afterward, Young-soon took Sam-sik’s father’s help to access the memory card. But they faced an issue as the file appeared password protected. However, Kang-ho’s intelligence helped them decode the password. The drive contained Kang-ho’s journals that started with his law school and every detail about his college life and how it impacted him deeply.
One such entry showed Kang-ho trying to access his father’s murder investigation report. Later, it turned out that the prosecutor was Oh Tae-soo. So after getting no help from the detectives, he decided to become a prosecutor to unearth the mystery behind his father’s death. In the journal, he also mentioned Mi-Joo and how she helped him throughout his difficult time. During this time, it was revealed that Young-soon wanted her child to become an artist like her, but it never happened. After becoming a prosecutor, he started his investigation and realized something was wrong with his father’s death.
