EastEnders: Tracey at Risk
Tonight’s episode saw Freddie looking for a change of scene. Wanting to leave The Albert, he approached Alfie for a job. But Alfie turned him down, blaming tight finances. That’s when Freddie peeked at the Vic’s books and saw Tracey’s pay packet. Then, out of nowhere, he said he’d do the job for half her pay.
He didn’t stop there. Freddie casually suggested Tracey might be too old for the pub life now, and maybe it was time she retired. Kat didn’t take it well at first. She called Tracey a legend and warned they’d be “slaughtered” for replacing her.
Viewers quickly jumped to defend Tracey and slammed the disrespect. Many pointed out how Tracey has been a loyal face at the Vic for years, even without many lines.
Freddie said it wasn’t a firing, just a thank you. Kat didn’t say no. She even asked Alfie to “handle it”.
Kat Steps In
Alfie tried to help Tracey gently by asking Ravi to offer her a job at the mini-mart. But Tracey wasn’t having it. She shook her head and told Alfie she wasn’t leaving the pub she loves.
Kat wasn’t done, though. She pulled Tracey aside for a private word. She came back smiling and gave Alfie a wave. Somehow, she’d scored a raise and the rest of the day off. It turns out, Tracey still had her job. She just had “her ways”. Tracey may have walked out today, but make no mistake, she is not going anywhere.
Tracey’s reaction was short but strong. One glare was all it took to shut things down.
