Oscar Branning is losing control. After turning in the thug Fat Mike to the cops, he has been living in fear. The threats have not stopped; it is all piling up around him.
He is scared. So scared that he attacked Peter Beale, mistaking him for Mike, right inside Lauren’s house. But things only get worse from there.
Mike returns with a chilling demand. He wants five thousand pounds, or Oscar’s family suffers. Oscar panics. He tries to pull Ian Beale into a quick business fix, hoping to make the money fast, but it falls apart. With nowhere else to turn, he finally confesses the whole truth to Lauren. Will she help? Meanwhile, Patrick Trueman and Howie are celebrating a surprise windfall. They have just won £6,000 betting, and Patrick is over the moon. But Yolande is not happy; she warned Patrick before. Gamble again, and the wedding is off.
What she does not know is how fast that money is about to disappear. Oscar, blinded by fear, breaks into the Fox Trueman home. But Patrick catches him in the act. In a panic, Oscar pushes him to the floor. Patrick lies unconscious, and Oscar bolts.
