According to the recent statements and news circling around about. Google now seeks to obtain a license from the US government.

This could be a breath of fresh air for Huawei and could restore access to Google’s mobile services on mobile headsets such as the Mate 30 and the Mate Xs.

After all the bans imposed last year by the US government. Huawei somehow still stands, but it is possible that luck runs out soon. The United States is back trying to force TSMC to cut supplies for Huawei.

While most US-based companies are still banned from dealing with Huawei without a license. For this reason, Huawei cannot now include Google’s mobile services (GMS) that include Play Store, Gmail, Maps and YouTube on their mobile devices, and Google itself is not happy with the situation.

The Google license was extended for a short time at the end of 2019, but all Huawei 2020 smartphones such as the Mate 30 and the Mate Xs foldable (which are not yet available in the U.S.). Already have an operating system Android cropped and an AppGallery store that does not offer support for popular applications such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram, Uber, Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, etc.

It is true that Google previously warned that downloading Gmail and YouTube on affected Huawei devices could lead to security risks, but Google also knows that Huawei can contribute a lot of money by granting Android licenses on its mobile devices. Not wanting to further damage trade relations with Huawei, Google is now trying to obtain a license from the US government.

The possibilities may not be in favor of Google, since the US government. They are still accusing Huawei of conspiracy and theft of trade secrets through intercepted devices, doing everything possible to make the company impotent.

However, Google is aware that Microsoft was able to obtain a similar license for Huawei MateBook 13 and MateBook X Pro notebook models in December 2019, so at least there is a precedent. The success of Google would immediately allow Huawei to restore access to the GMS suite on all affected devices.
