OnePlus 8 Launch Is Right Around The Corner: Here Is What All You Need To Know!

The wait is finally over. For all the tech enthusiasts worldwide, the launch is near. If you guessed it Oneplus, you guessed it right! The OnePlus 8 global launch event is on 14th April, and there are leaks available all over the internet.  Although some consider this as a risky move, as the whole world is locked down due to an outbreak of Covid-19.

Similarities Between The Models

The pro model is basically the standard model, with a couple of changes that enhance the already fast performance. Both the smartphones have a UFS 3.0 storage, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-fi 6. OnePlus has always done good in terms of audio and this time as well, both the devices would be equipped with a stereo speaker, Dolby enabled. You get the usual sensors, including NFC, a Dual Sim tray and a Haptic Vibration Engine.

OnePlus 8, The All-Rounder!

The OnePlus 8, would be powered by the latest Snapdragon 865 processor. The chip also supports 5g, owing to the X55 modem. A 6.55” FullHD+ 90Hz display, with almost no bezels this time. The base variant has 8 gigabytes of LPDDR4X RAM coupled with 128 gigabytes of storage. Just to give some perspective, it is like the second-fastest type of RAM in the market, and the fastest SnapDragon chipset there is. 

The device supports 30 Watt Warp charge and comes with 4300 Mah of battery. The triple camera setup is similar to that of the predecessor. 48 MP primary camera (IMX 586) coupled with a 16 MP ultra-wide shooter and a 2 MP macro shooter.

OnePlus 8 Pro, The Performance Beast!

Oneplus 8 Pro on the other hand, raises the bar with specific tweaks here and there. The screen is larger(6.78”) and better(QHD or 2k resolution) with a better refresh rate(120 Hz). Snapdragon 865 is coupled with LPDDR5(the fastest RAM). Not only the device supports fast charging, but it also supports wireless fast charging at the same rate. 

The battery capacity is tuned up to 4510 Mah. Significant upgrades are done in the camera department. The primary lens, 48MP(Sony IMX 689), is coupled with a 48MP ultra-wide sensor, 8 MP telephoto lens and a 5 MP Color Filter lens. Phew, that is, many lenses for a smartphone camera.

OnePlus, a Chinese company started its journey six years ago. Adding up to their line-up in every launch is what they do best. Last year all of us saw some top-notch technology from the tech giant; the OnePlus 7 and 7 pro have been one of the widest selling smartphones in the market. This time a new lite model, which will be priced economically.
