Fans have been demanding The Breaker Season 3 for almost five years now. Fortunately, the new season finally looks hopeful. Now that Trinity Wonder Season 3 has ended, the authors might begin working on the much-awaited manhwa installment. However, the new set of volumes will still take a while to reach the market. The Breaker is a South Korean manhwa (comics or print cartoons) series that debuted back in 2007. The popular manhwa, written by Jeon Geuk-jin and illustrated by Park Jin-hwan, ran for ten volumes until 2010. Soon after its end, the author-illustrator duo released the second installment of the manhwa. The sequel called The Breaker: New Wave, continued from 2010 and serialized until mid-2015. Even though both the seasons of the manhwa were popular, publisher Daewon C.I. is yet to renew the third part.
The Breaker Season 3: Will It Ever Come Out?
Well, the return of the popular manhwa series was never in question in the first place. The author and illustrator of the series were always positive about launching another sequel. However, several issues came up before they could start working on The Breaker Season 3. The duo began working on a new project instead.
Soon after the conclusion of the second season, writer Jeon Geuk-jin and illustrator Park Jin-hwan launched a brand new manhwa, Trinity Wonder. The series was loved by fans of The Breaker and new readers as well. However, due to the second comic, the writer-illustrator duo skipped working on The Breaker Season 3. Yet, all these years, they’ve been giving hope to fans.
Back in the day, the author confirmed they intend to start working on The Breaker Season 3 as soon as Trinity Wonder Season 3 ends. The latter took a while to end and consumed a lot of time the creators had. Fortunately, now that the third part of Trinity Wonder has concluded, the writer might finally begin writing the highly-anticipated sequel. Hence, they’re finally some hope for the manhwa.
So When Are The Writers Planning To Start Season 3?
Now that Trinity Wonder Season 3 has ended, fans have begun to speculate that the writers will soon resume The Breaker. Luckily, these speculations turned out to be true as Geuk-jin and Jin-hwan both confirmed the news. Last year, it reported an interview held by a publishing house called Star Comics. In the interview, the writer-illustrator duo briefly talked about The Breaker Season 3.
They assured that the manhwa installment is likely to hit the market. However, they added that the project could take at least a few years to release. While they haven’t confirmed, it seems like the creators have already started working on the upcoming comic. We will update this section as soon as an official renewal arrives.
When Will The Breaker Season 3 Release?
As the writer-illustrator said, the manhwa’s latest volumes will take a few years to hit the market. Considering that Geuk-jin and Jin-hwan already have projects lined up, they might take longer to complete. At the earliest, a 2022 release date seems the most likely.
