Amazon’s fantasy drama, Carnival row is out with the first season. The show was a huge hit. Also, Carnival Row Season 2 is coming. But when? The installment received renewal even before the first season released. However, things haven’t been very happy since then. There have been some problems with the crew, and of course, the world. 

   

Created by Travis Beacham and René Echevarria, Carnival Row is a fantasy drama set in the backdrop of a Victorian-style era called Burgue. The show features Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne in the lead role. For everybody looking forward to when Carnival Row Season 2 would release, this article is for you. Carnival Row Season 2: Plot Details

The first season of the fantasy drama took on two major plotlines. First was the Darlasher Killings that Philo was investigating. The second was the mystery regarding Philo’s origin. The Philo’s mystery turned out to have some connection with Piety Breakspear and the murders. Later on, everyone also came to know that Chancellor Absalom Breakspear is Philo’s father. The half-fae and half-human creature Philo is torn between the two words. He has to hide his true nature to survive. 

Carnival Row Season 2

Later, when Jonah Breakspear takes Philo’s father’s place as the new Chancellor, he declares war on all the nonhumans. So many Carnival Row residents are in what was called the concentration camp in the Burgue. Then Philo comes to know about Vignette being on the other side of the barricade. He declares that he is a critch and joins Vignetter and all the other fae in Carnival Row. 

Carnival Row Season 2

Coming to Carnival Row Season 2, viewers might witness fae’s fight for liberation in the second season of the series. They will fight against Jonah Breakspear and Sophie Longerbane’s new community. In the meantime, the star crossed lovers Agreus Astrayon and Imogen Spurnose will find themselves running with Imogen’s brother Ezra. Amidst the violent altercation, they will have to deal with the aftermath of what happens after the war, the new community and fae are on. It will be exciting how the show retains all the criminal mystery elements with the whole uproar. Carnival Row season 2 will indeed introduce a new case for Vignetter and Philo to solve. 

The Cast and Crew Shakeups

We expect Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne to come back to lead Carnival Row season 2. David Gyasi and Tamzin Merchant are expected to come back in increased capacity for the second installment. They portray Argus and Imogen, respectively. Keeping in mind the finale of the first installment- Arty Froushan and Caroline might be coming in bigger roles for the second season. We can expect new faces to join the cast too. 

Carnival Row Season 2

There are not many shake-ups on screen, but a lot behind it. In October 2019, Travis Beacham, the showrunner, walked out of the show due to creative differences. Carnival row adopted on a script by Beacham. So, him not being on board can cause series changes for the installment. Along with Beacham, Marc Guggenheim will have stepped back from being the showrunner. Erik Oleson has replaced Guggenheim for Carnival Row Season 2. 

Renewal & Release Date

Amazon renewed Carnival Row Season 2 even before they released the first season. The production company has been trying to create its own library of original content since 2013. Carnival Row is the first fantasy series in it. The show was renewed in July 2019. Then in November 2019, the creators announced that the production for Carnival Row Season 2 had already commenced. The show was expected to release sometime in August 2020. But now, keeping in mind the crew shake-ups and the ongoing global pandemic, we can expect some delay. Fans can hope for the show to hit the screens either later in 2020 or the first half of 2021.
