In the San Diego Comic-Con@Home’s panel, the showrunner Angela Kang revealed the major updates of The Walking Dead Season 10. Further, the producer Greg Nicotero has teased that the upcoming finale would be more thrilling than what fans had expected. However, the production updates haven’t revealed yet. But, the production and the narration team are working to resume their filming for the final episode. The tenth season finale abruptly held because of the current health crisis. Fortunately, the long wait is now over as the showrunner revealed the finale premiere date.

   

The Walking Dead, created by Frank Darabont, is a horror zombie apocalypse series on AMC. The series is based on Tony Moore, Charlie Adlard, and Robert Kirkman’s comic book series. It focused on the large group of survivors of a zombie apocalypse who are trying to survive from their attacks. In the series, zombies are referred as walkers. However, while trying to stay alive under the constant threat of walkers, the survivors also face conflicts rising within them. It leads to the fall of humanity as the survivors’ groups formed, and these communities set their rules resulting in hateful strife between them.

The Walking Dead Season 10: When Will Finale Air?

Earlier, the finale was scheduled to air on April 12, 2020, in the U.S. But, the filming left in the middle because of the Coronavirus outbreak. Recently, in the Comic-Con@Home’s panel, the showrunner revealed that finale would air on AMC on October 4, 2020, in the U.S. However, U.K. fans don’t have to wait for the finale more. As the episode would air on the next day after airing in the U.S. That means, the finale would premier on Monday on October 5 on FOX.

More Of Season 10 For Fans

Get ready for another batch of season 10. In the SDCC panel, The Walking Dead showrunner Angela Kang revealed that there would be six more episodes waiting to air in 2021. She confirmed that season 11 has to wait now since they plan to split the tenth season into two halves. The first batch has wrapped up airing, while the other batch of six episodes would premiere somewhere in 2021. She further disclosed that they are working on those episodes along with the finale one.

Angela said: “We will not be airing season 11 episodes this year as we normally would in October, but we’re excited to announce an extended season 10. There will be six extra episodes to follow the finale. Those will run in early 2021 if all goes well. We’re working on those now and will have more to share soon.”

Scripting Done For Second Half

In the Comic-Con@Home panel, Angela revealed that the writers’ team has been working remotely on the eleventh season script. Though they weren’t able to start filming for their leftover episodes, the filming would begin soon. If writers are working on season 11 script, then it’s clear that the second half of season 10’s writers’ work has finished.

Angela said: “The writers’ room for season 11 has been going remotely the past few months. We haven’t been able to start production, but we will get back to work as soon as we safely can.”
