In the manga, the Gehenna Gate is described as the portal between the material world where the humans live, Assiah, and the world of demons, Gehenna. The Illuminati constructed this portal in the territory of the former Russian nuclear plant. As the group failed to make its engine work, only the Exorcists were able to pass through the gate, yet they eventually failed. As a result, the Illuminati forced to reunite both the worlds. The twin brothers, Rin and Yukio, will attempt to cease their plan in Blue Exorcists Season 3.
When Will Blue Exorcist Season 3 Release?
As of now, A-1 Pictures has not renewed the anime for Blue Exorcist Season 3. The studio might take a few years to complete the productions of the next season.
