The Good Doctor Season 4: Opening Would Deal With COVID-19 Pandemic, Supervision Under Shaun

The Good Doctor Season 4 will join its fellow medical series Grey’s Anatomy, The Resident, and New Amsterdam, in dealing with the deadly coronavirus. So things would turn more realistic as people are already struggling to survive from it. However, the fans were expecting more from The Good Doctor Season 4. Many are looking for a peaceful start to clear the dark clouds of its traumatic finale of the third season. So would it start from the bitter ending and lead to a new beginning in the characters life. Well, stay with us to know more.

The Good Doctor, created by David Shore, is a medical drama series on ABC. The series based on the 2013 South Korean award-winning series of the same name. The series initially aired on CBS. However, CBS dropped the series in 2015, which was later picked by ABC. It follows Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) a young surgical resident with autism savant syndrome. His savant syndrome includes the ability to observe minute changes and details, and near-photographic cite. Shaun had a troubled childhood in the small city of Casper, Wyoming. However, he moves to San Jose, California, to work at the esteemed hospital named San Jose St. Bonaventure.

The Good Doctor Season 4: Will Deal With COVID-19 Cases

In the last few episodes, the series dealt with the virus storyline. In which the doctors in San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital encountered terrible viral respiratory diseases that lead patients to quarantine. However, the last finale also saw the doctors battling with the disastrous earthquake that harmed the city and resulted in the collapse of the hospital. This caused Dr. Neil Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez) to lose his life while trying to protect everyone.

The Two-Partner Special Premiere

AMC medical drama series The Good Doctor Season 4 is ready to battle with the COVID-19 war this fall. The announcement came that the fourth season premiere would focus on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, that has already taken more than hundred-thousand life alone in the U.S. The series opening would be a two-partner exclusive dealing with the current epidemic. However, how the doctors deal with the pandemic after the catastrophic earthquake would be quite interesting to watch.

Pre-Production Halted Again

Lately, the news came that the cast and crew were getting ready to film The Good Doctor Season 4 soon in this month. However, things don’t seem in their favor as the pre-production halted due to a lack of COVID-19 testing equipment. On which a Sony Pictures Television spokesperson said that they are working to resolve this case with BC Council. Earlier the series was scheduled to film in Vancouver. The cast and crew members have to wait a little more as the rescheduled filming date has yet to be disclosed.

Shaun In A Supervisory Role In The Good Doctor Season 4

David Shore, the executive producer of the series, confirmed that the audience would see Shaun in a supervisory role. Now he enters the fourth year of residency, so it’s more likely to handle the front side, meanwhile, embracing the romance with his girlfriend, Lea Dilallo (Paige Spara).

Further, Dr. Audrey Lim (Christina Chang) and Dr. Marcus Andrews (Hill Harper) would take Dr. Claire Brown (Antonia Thomas) and Dr. Morgan Reznick (Fiona Gubelmann) under their respective arms. While Dr. Alex Park (Will Yun Lee) still struggles to deal with family issues.
