The humongous fanbase of Jumanji started asking questions about Jumanji 4 right after they left the theatres watching Jumanji: The Next Level. The film series already developed its loyal fan following, and they are eagerly waiting to see what’s next in store for them. All the films of the franchise have been highly successful on the box-office and received great reviews from the critics.
Jumanji is an American fantasy adventure film series. The first movie of this series made its debut in 1995. The sequel to this film made its return after a long gap of 22 years in December 2017. The latest and the third installment released in December 2019. And it was the most successful film of the series so far. Jumanji: The Next Level managed to gross more $800 million worldwide. It was also the 10th highest-grossing film of 2019.
Jumanji 4: Production Status!
In April 2020, the director of the film, Jake Kasdan, confirmed that the fourth installment of the film series is in its early development stage. In his interview with Collider, he said, “We were just getting into the discussion before this global pandemic, and we will resume it as soon as everybody’s settled. Exciting on its two feet in a way that’s similar to what the first two were for me. The team is in the earliest days of trying to figure out what that would be.” The previous film hinted the fans about the upcoming film, but the entire story hasn’t been confirmed yet. So, the creators will try to complete the scripts as soon as things get back to normal.
Jumanji 4: Plot Details!
The mid-credit scene of Jumanji: The Next Level revealed that Jumanji 4 would take place in the real world. And the fans are already hyped to watch the adventures similar to its original film. However, this time the plot won’t have any board game. The characters will come out of a video game into the real world. And that means Spencer and his friend will again take the responsibility to finish the game and make everything normal. Since all the creatures will come out of the game, we will see Dr. Smolder Bravestone and the other explorers coming out in the real world as well.
At this moment, the creators also don’t know the full story of the film. When asking about the plot, Kasdan recently said in his interview that “Not much ahead what you can see there in the mid-credit scene. You know, there’s hope that if this one is received in such a way, that we’re having that conversation.”
Who Will Be In It?
It’s almost certain that the four main video game characters will return and reprise their roles in Jumanji Season 4. And that means will surely return for the next film. Alex Wolff, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, and Morgan Turner will also return for the sequel. The viewers might also see Nick Jonas and other playable avatars as well. There might be some new cast additions as well, which is not announced yet.
Jumanji 4: Release Date
The previous two films of the franchise released in the month of December in their respective years. So the creators will definitely aim for December 2021 as the release date for Jumanji 4. However, it might be possible that the global pandemic will delay the release date.
