Nekosuke Ōkuma has published a total of sixteen volumes of the light novel series, with the last one being released on October 15, 2018. They wrapped the LN series back two years ago with this volume. The inaugural season of the anime only adapted four volumes from it. And that means Production IMS has enough source material to create not only Hundred Season 2 but two more seasons of this show. And that fact drastically increases the chance of the arrival of the further installment.

Persons who can wield that weapon are sequentially trained with battle skills to turn them into Slayers, and to become a one, Hayato Kisaragi gets himself into the marine institute city ship Little Garden. However, his life transforms when he met Emile Crossford and Claire Harvey, the most potent Slayer of the school.
Hayato Kisaragi, the protagonist, didn’t kill all his enemies from the Savage clan. And that means his fight with the rest of the Savage clan members will be the central plot of Hundred Season 2. He wants to protect the earth from the Savage clan who wants to destroy it. And in order to protect his planet, he must kill all his enemies from this clan. He will wield Hundred, the most powerful weapon to destroy the Savage clan.

The fans are still waiting to hear from the creators. And it is likely that they will soon get an update on it. If Production IMS picked the show for its second season by the end of this year, then the fans can expect Hundred Season 2 to release by the end of 2022.
