HBO Programming’s executive vice president, Francesca Orsi, announced the series’s renewal soon after its fifth episode landed on the network. Well, the quick decision is due to its high viewership. The first five episodes had become the most-watched as 1.7 million viewers watched the show. Well, it’s more than HBO’s popular series, The Outsider and Watchmen.

He added that working with such an outstanding cast was the exciting part. Further, the audience has delighted by transporting back in 1930’s Los Angeles and watching the neo-noir detective series of that time, said Orsi.
