The Flight Attendant Season 2: Kaley Cuoco Teased A New Phase In Cassie’s Life, Know More

Kaley Cuoco has recently shared some of her ideas for The Flight Attendant Season 2, which is on its way to HBO Max. Well, the first season dealt with chaos. However, Kaley teased that the mess will continue to hijack her world. Further, the showrunner has also shared the production details. The Flight Attendant is based on Chris Bohjalian’s 2018 novel of the same name.

It follows a carefree alcoholic, Cassie Bowden (Kaley Cuoco), an American flight attendant who spends the rest of her time having sex with strangers and sometimes the passengers. However, one night changed everything when she wakes up beside a dead body in a Bangkok hotel. Afraid to call the cops, she ends up clearing the crime scene. Shortly she met with an FBI agent in New York City and started wondering who could be the killer.

Initially, the show was reported as the limiting series. But, deeming its popularity, HBO Max renewed The Flight Attendant for the second season in December. Speaking on the second run, Berlanti Productions executive producers Sarah Schechter and Greg Berlanti assured that it’s the best television show. However, being a closed-end series, it gives a chance to deliver the delightful finale.

Further, they said that currently, they are in an intense transformational moment where they even know how the show could end. Furthermore, Berlanti continued that they believe there is more story to continue with The Flight Attendant. Even the show has been nominated in Golden Globe for the musical category. So, they felt its right to continue with the second run.

The Flight Attendant Season 2: When Will Production Begin?

As per Sarah, the showrunner Steve Yockey with the entire writers will assemble in March to continue penning down the second outing. Sarah disclosed that they spent the last months working on the upcoming season, which feels hugely worth doing. However, they don’t want to rush everything. Thus, they are pacing slowly to do everything right. But, they aimed of beginning production either this September or October.

Cuoco confirmed that production would begin in New York soon. Well, deeming the current COVID status in New York, it’s unclear how they would start. But, Cuoco’s excited to continue shooting near her home. Further, she disclosed that Yockey had pitched some of the stories to film in Los Angeles.

What To Expect From The Second Season?

Despite being a hard-core alcoholic, Cassie’s night out in Bangkok has changed everything. But, in the finale, Cassie finally confronted her past and quit drinking. Meanwhile, her best friend and advocate, Annie (Zosia Mamet), left her job and confessed her love for Max (Deniz Akdeniz). However, Cassie’s fellow flight attendant Shane (Griffin Matthews), joined the CIA. At the same time, Megan (Rosie Perez) was hiding and escaping after exchanging North Korea’s information for cash.

Recently, Cuoco said she wants to see the future of these characters in the upcoming season. Although Cassie stops drinking at the end of the book, she gets pregnant with Alex’s (the dead body) baby. So, Cassie decides to be sober by keeping the baby. However, Cassie confirmed that she never wants any pregnancy plot in the show. They want to pursue to be a thriller. But, it doesn’t mean Cassie would join the CIA and become a spy.

However, there will be a little of that element in the following season. Further, the second season would focus on Cassie emotionally. Now, she would learn how to deal with her lifelong issue. However, she used her alcohol habit as an excuse to dodge every problem. But, now, it would be thrilling to see how she deals with the mess. Further, what reason she would use her to run from the situation.
