CBS has released a short promo and the official synopsis for the second episode. In it, the situation gets tricky as tensions increase between Frank and Mayor Chase. While Frank wants to save public money, Mayor Chase intends to spend the city budget on the expansion of the police force. But in the promo of Blue Bloods Season 12 Episode 2, the squad struggles to handle the situations, as Mayor Chase’s new ways make it difficult for the team to function efficiently. 

Also, a public arrest is about to get viral, which will make things more challenging for Frank. Further, Danny and Baez will be seen busy investigating a gang attack, which will take them to the roots of something unexpected. Moreover, Eddie is worried about Jamie, who lied to him about her secretive evening visits.

On the other hand, Eddie’s partner Witten lands herself in trouble as a video of her pointing a gun at an unarmed person gets viral. Eddie tried her best to save his partner when the investigating officers called upon Eddie for questioning, but her efforts went in vain.

Furthermore, Danny went to a psychic, Maggie, to find answers about the dead young kid caught up in the shooting. Maggie told Danny to find the five-year-old’s biological father as he is the killer. Towards the end, Danny caught the murderer and went to a bar with Maggie. It looks like Maggie might turn out to be Danny’s good friend in the upcoming episodes of Blue Bloods Season 12.
