We have seen Conrad struggling to stay sane, take care of her newborn baby, and put in his contribution at the hospital. But now, Conrad will find a new distraction in the next episode as he plans to treat a group of witches.

In the last episode, Conrad finds it very hard to accept the reality that Nic has passed. The Resident Season 5 Episode 5 Precap: What Will Happen?

The fifth episode of The Resident Season 5, titled “The Thinnest Veil,” will focus on a Halloween-centric setting. Fox has also revealed the official synopsis and a short promo for the upcoming episode. In the next episode, Conrad will look to find a new distraction at Halloween. So, he will take on the responsibility to treat a group of witches. However, the situation will quickly escalate when the presence of the witches puts the ER in chaos. The peculiar activities at the hospital will leave the doctors questioning the existence of ghosts. 

Meanwhile, in The Resident Season 5 Episode 5, Devon will treat a patient who believes that the ghosts are haunting him. Further, Bell will come across a hitchhiker. Interestingly, Bell will soon realize that the man he picked is not what he seems. Next, in the promo, we see Max discussing Halloween with a witch who tells him that the festival originates from Samhain. And Conrad seems to be having trouble accepting the death of Nic as he dreams about her.

Further, the dream might convince him that Nic might have become a spirit, remembering the witch’s words. Moreover, the witch says to Conrad that if you pay attention, you can see the spirits. The promo also shows some strange unnatural activities at the hospital after the witch comes into the hospital. The incidents will leave the doctors puzzled about the existence of ghosts.
