Meanwhile, she will have the deepest desire to seek vengeance for the death of her father. Her grandfather has managed to force her back to the throne to have more power at the palace. Moreover, he also killed her father just to make her return to the palace.

The King’s Affection Epi 13 began with Lee Hwi revealing her big secret to Ji-Woon by removing her clothes. He was shocked, but he still tended to her arrow wound. After pulling up her clothes back, Ji-Woon went to look for firewood. In the night, Da Mi aka Li Hwi asked if he felt resentment towards her. Ji Woon said that he felt resentment but not towards her. Instead, he felt terrible for not being there for her while she suffered from everything alone. Meanwhile, Lee Hwi told all the details about her life, her dead brother, and how she pretended to be him. After that, the two hugged each other and slept in the forest.
The Death Of The King!
Further, Lord Sangheon put his plan into action. He forced one of the servants to poison the King’s herbal tea, which he drinks every night before sleeping. Meanwhile, while the King was resting, Kim Ga-on broke into his room and put a sword on his neck. He confronted the King about why he helped Go-on escape from Seok-Jo. The King told him the truth about his father dying right in front of his majesty’s eyes. He said that Ga-on’s father was a dear friend, but the King was helpless.
The King told him the way to his father’s grave and advised Ga-on to see his father. At the same time, the servant walked in with a poisonous tea. After drinking the tea, the King coughed blood. Ga-on was puzzled to see what had happened to his majesty. Meanwhile, Ji Woon and Da Mi were sleeping in the forest with no knowledge of the King’s fate in The King’s Affection Ep 13.
Next, Commander Yoon was taken as a prisoner while Seok-Jo looked for Lee Hwi in the jungle. Ji-Woon noticed Lee bleeding to he told her to change her clothes before reaching Mount Bukseong. However, Lee Hwi was kidnapped by Seok’s men while Ji-Woon looked for her. That’s when he found out the King was dead.

Lee Hwi was taken to Lord Sangheon at the palace. He forced Lee to become the crown prince in return for the safety of her loved ones. Meanwhile, at the King’s funeral, Lord Changheon and Queen were apprehended for killing the King. Prince Jahyeon was dethroned and sent into prison for his involvement. Ji-Woon came to visit him for the last time before lee Hwi returned to her throne. The King’s Affection Ep 13 ended with Lee Hwi sitting on the throne with revenge in her eyes.
