The Blacklist Season 9 Episode 5 was titled ‘Benjamin T. Okara‘. In the episode, we saw Cooper trying to expose a dark secret. The episode focused on Park’s personal life. In the beginning, a man confusingly died while driving a car. Although he slammed the car, his death was caused by something else. Meanwhile, Dembe and Red considered the likelihood of a weapon firing energy beams to incapacitate someone.
Further, Dembe told the task force that the chief engineer Dr. Benjamin T. Okara was the one who stole the weapon and currently was behind the other five engineers who assisted him in its creation. Meanwhile, Park and Ressler were on the verge of catching one of them. But he ambushed Park while trying to flee.
However, the man was killed when Okara shot the energy wave of the weapon towards him. When the FBI discovered Okara, Ressler learned that Okara killed his coworkers so that the weapon could not be made again. Also, Okara destroyed the weapon and committed suicide.
Moreover, Cooper attempted to find Doug Koster’s killer. A detective set out to assist him in remembering the events that occurred on the night of the killing. However, Cooper told his wife not to tell the truth about his whereabouts so he couldn’t be proven guilty. Meanwhile, Ressler and Park had a talk about her hiding the truth of her job from her Peter. Finally, a medical examination indicated that she was expectant, but the baby couldn’t survive.
