After escaping the Federation headquarters, they will build a deadly weapon to attack the anomaly. Burnham and the Discovery crew would be responsible for stopping Book and Tarka from provoking far more evolved beings. Thus, Burnham will have to stop them at all costs. However, it seems like the evolved species will finally show themselves in the midst of all the chaos in Star Trek Discovery Season 4 Episode 8.

The Discover team planned to approach the artificially created anomaly in the previous episode. The ship computer Zora played a crucial role in figuring out the origins of the anomaly. However, Zora decided not to inform the team of the anomaly’s origin. The computer believed that reaching close to the origin would endanger the crew members’ lives.
Meanwhile, in Star Trek Discovery Season 4 Episode 7, Captain Burnham and the leaders had a critical decision about the anomaly. There was a divided opinion about what should be done. Some believed in approaching the anomaly peacefully, while others voted for an aggressive measure. Soon after, Ruon Tarka revealed the device capable of destroying the anomaly. During the recess, Tarka said to Book that he belonged to an alternative universe, and the anomaly was the key to helping him go back home.
Elsewhere, the crew tried taking desperate measures while risking their lives. However, their initiative was threatened by Zora. They discussed the possibility of extracting Zora’s consciousness. However, the computer came with a better option. She told the Starfleet about a fail-safe device that would completely remove Zora from the ship’s systems. Eventually, the evolved Zora gave up the coordinates of the origin. Moreover, the leaders decided to take a peaceful approach rather than using Tarka’s device in Star Trek Discovery Season 4 Episode 7.
