So, Sarah leaves the place, but Connor tries to convince her to stay.
Is It Renewed Yet?
Home Economics Season 2 aired on September 22, 2021, and is currently on air. So it’s quite tricky to guess whether the show could return for the next run. Well, ABC has been giving a chance to new series to explore diverse storylines. Further, the episode count of the second season is quite more than the first season. The first season only consists of seven episodes, while the second season consists of 22 episodes. So it hints the network is looking to continue with Home Economics.
Not just that, the pilot episode of the second season gained 2.21 million viewers. Although it was less than its first season viewership yet, fans are rooting to continue with the show. Apart from this, the series gained 82% positive response on Rotten Tomatoes, and it earned 64 out of 100 on Metacritic. So based on the viewership, we can expect that ABC will soon come up with Home Economics Season 3.
Typically the network takes time to evaluate the viewership it gained. Based on the targeted viewership vs. ratings it received, they decided whether the show could return for the third season. So, we can consider that the entire star cast of Home Economics will return for the third season. These include Topher Grace as Tom, Caitlin McGee as Sarah, and Jimmy Tatro as Connor. Karla Souza as Marian will return with Sasheer Zamata as Denise and Shiloh Bearman as Gretchen. Additionally, Jordyn Curet as Shamiah will join JeCobi Swain as Kelvin, Chloe Jo Rountree as Camila, and Lidia Porto as Lupe.

Home Economics Season 2 Episode 19, titled “Animatronic Gorilla, $2,200,” opens up with Tom’s birthday. Now he’s about to turn 40, and he has to finish his novel by his self-imposed deadline. Not only was Tom facing the pressure, but Marina and Connor were both under pressure over which gift they should select for him. Meanwhile, Denise thinks that he has to make things up for Tom as he once ruined his birthday.
Denise encourages Tom’s wife and his father to plan a nice birthday for Tom. So Marina embraces her sexuality and tries to surprise Tom with her sexy pictures. Meanwhile, Marshall decides to start writing again. But Tom’s class gets interrupted after his father tries to play cool. Now in Home Economics Season 2 Episode 20, titled “Mango THC Gummies, $18,” the entire Hayworth family tries to support Sarah and Gretchen, so they attend the Windmount Academy.
Tom has finally completed his manuscript, and now he’s waiting for the news about his new book. So to calm him down, the entire family decides to go on a road trip. Meanwhile, Marina encourages everyone to calm down and offers to take some edibles. But will it help Tom to ease down? Well, only time will tell.

As of now, ABC hasn’t renewed the show for the third season. Further, the show is currently on air. So it will take time to return. Home Economics Season 3 might air in mid-2023.
