In addition to this, the family had to suffer hatred of the locals. Moreover, the series was apparently a period drama. Although the bleak ending of the mini-series did not bother the critical reception, the only misfortune of Chapelwaite was its release on a small streaming platform. The climax was brutal and tragic and followed the typical setting of the horror genre. The vampires and hereditary curse formed the most part of the story.
Charles joined hands with George, Rebecca Morgan, and others who lived in the Preacher’s town. He planned on attacking Jakub’s Church. Meanwhile, he was deceived by his own cousin, Stephen. He was already dead but got transformed into a vampire. The dead cousin revealed that he intended to bring Charles and his family to the town for a special purpose. The vampire wanted to search for a book titled De Vermis Mysteriis. The book was lost for a long time, and none had a clue about it. As the story proceeded, the audience realized that the Boone family had a curse whom they had been living with for years and generations.
Coming back to the attack plan, Charles executed the attack on the church. He discovered a way of killing vampires. He came to know that vampires can lose their life if something fatal affects their hearts. Nevertheless, it was not easy for Charles to enter the church, and hence, George sacrificed his life following lots of bloodshed. But later, Loa helped him in fighting Jakub, who died after the whaler cut his head off from his body.

The climax shows the transformation of Charles into a vampire as he sacrifices himself for the long-lost book. This meant that his mortal life finally ended, and this might prevent his generation from the curse. Also, his children will no longer face the consequences of the haunting secret. As far as the narrative of Chapelwaite Season 2 is concerned, Chapelwaite is likely to show up with another plot from the collection of Stephen’s short stories. If it happens, new locations and towns will be explored.
Which Actors Are Expected To Return In The Next Season?
In the last installment, Adrien Brody led the cast by playing the lead role of Captain Charles Boone. Emily Hampshire portrayed the character of Rebecca Morgan, while Sirena Gulamgaus joined the cast as Loa Boone. Besides them, Jennifer Ens, Ian Ho, and Julian Richings were featured as Honor Boone, Tane Boone, and Philip Boone, respectively. The other actors in the series were Christopher Heyerdahl, Eric Peterson, Gord Rand, and a few more.
