After solving the arson case, Ho-gae and his team learn about another jolting murder case. This time the victim is Yong Soonbok. She is known as Spring Lady because of her argumentative nature. However, it remains unclear how she dies. The team soon starts investigating the matter. But the farther they go, the more complex things become. The First Responders Season 2 Episode 5 also hints at Pil’s connection with the murder. Ho-gae starts the investigation in his style and seeks information about the victim. He later comes across a kid who willingly spills the most unexpected details.
Further, the preview hints that the perpetrator is a cat this time. Hence after learning this news, the team decides to drop the case. The previous episode began with Song Seol being attacked in the elevator. A few moments before the attack, she recognized the man beside her, and before she could take any action, he hit her with a hammer. Later he swiftly took her to another place. But the blood-stained drew the police’s attention, and they later discovered that the person was an ex-fireman and former husband of the fire department chief. He was fired for assaulting innocent people. Besides this, Ho-gae learned that the man had ordered 30 candles that could continue to burn for up to 8 hours. It indicated that the person was planning for another arson. Soon Pil and Ho-gae reached the man’s place and learned about his master plan.
They later informed the police about his next plan, and soon, the military squad reached the location. The man later got arrested, and he revealed he avenged the builders who intentionally caused the arson before, due to which he lost four of his friends. Thus he caused plenty of deaths as his biggest revenge plan. Following his arrest, the police searched for the bomb in The First Responders Season 2 Episode 4. But they were surprised to find Song Seol tied up inside the elevator near the bomb. Finally, EOD successfully disarmed the bomb, and Song Seol was also rescued. Song Seol confessed her feelings the following day, and Ho-gae did the same. But they decided to leave it like this as Do-jin’s death left a significant impact.
