Days of Our Lives always takes the holiday seasons very seriously in Salem! May it be Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas. There are always some special episodes in store to give the viewers an extra dose of entertainment. As we know, Christmas is fast approaching, and that means it’s time for the annual tree trimming at the Horton’s. However, this time, fans will get to see a new face on the occasion. But don’t mistake him for an all new character!
According to the latest Days of Our Lives comings and goings, little Thomas Dimera has been recast. As per Soap Opera Digest, Henry Witcher will be playing Chad and Abigail’s son this Holiday season. However, it is only a temporary recast so fans of the OG Thomas – actor Cary Christopher, do not have to worry. Their beloved little kid will slide back into his role later again.
What’s Coming Up For Thomas and Chad on Days of Our Lives
But why this change, you may wonder! Well, Cary Christopher shared on his Facebook that he was down with flu for a while. That is why he wasn’t available for the filming of some of Days of Our Lives episodes. Which happened to be the festive season ones. Thankfully, the makers managed to find a wonderful little actor to fill Cary’s shoes in his absence. But that also tells us something very interesting!
If the makers did go through all the troubles of a recast, then it must be for an interesting storyline! We know Thomas is an inquisitive little kid on Days of Our Lives. And being smarter beyond his years makes him ask a lot of questions. Perhaps, he might end up stirring the pot this Christmas for Chad, Stephanie and Everett by his questions! The trio certainly is in a tricky place with all that is going on in their current storyline!
Although we wonder what little Thomas will bring to the surface on Days of Our Lives? Will it be trouble, or will he end up smoothing over something that is already messed?
