The previous episode opened when Darby struggled to survive, but David finally came to rescue her. She later discovered that Lee and David had been working together. They communicated with Darby through the hotel lamps without being caught. Lee then told Darby that she tried to leave Andy because of his abusive nature and his obsession with Zoomer. But her attempt went in vain as he caught her and said Zoomer would stay with him whether she would leave or stay. Later, the girls and Oliver headed to Bill’s room to discover any clues about his death.

Soon, it featured a flashback of the event when Bill and Darby confronted the Silver Doe killer. When the latter blew his head off, it disappointed Darby as she was displeased by the scene and wasn’t happy to know that the killer was gone. It pissed Bill off, who left her after discovering her obsession with the killer. Back in the present day, Oliver found that Andy’s AI development had something to do with Bill’s murder.
