MAPPA Studios has finally announced Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is on the horizon. The studio announced the third season almost immediately after the previous season wrapped up airing. As per the trailer clip, the next season will follow the Culling Game Arc. The gap between the first two seasons was over two years. However, it’s expected that the third season won’t take longer to return. As per the official synopsis, the next arc will focus on Megumi Fushiguro, Yuta Okkotsu, and Yuji Itadori. They all face sorcerer Kenjaku.

In the final episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, Pseudo-Geto revealed his main plan. He said he waited until Mahito’s Cursed Technique had evolved before consuming it. Now, he could use the Cursed Spirit’s Idle Transfiguration on the ground to activate the technique remotely. His technique targeted two types of people: one with the potential but not the ability of sorcery and the other who had ingested Cursed Objects. By doing this, he awakens Tsumiki Fushiguro. However, Choso’s blood helped the rest of the sorcerers free from the Frost Calm.
But the battle took a dramatic turn when the curses went rampant and attacked the ordinary people. It led to the government’s dismay as they had no idea how to deal with the outbreak of curse spirits. Amid this chaos, Yuta appeared and was revealed to have regained Special Grade status. She also regained Rika, who escorted the little girl Yuta had saved from the Cursed Spirit. After the end of the battle, Yuji’s execution was carried out immediately, with Yuta appointed as his executioner. But in the post-credit scene, Yuji roamed the streets, planning to remove the stray curses.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 24: Release Date
The anime ended its Shibuya Incident arc with last week’s episode, “Shibuya Incident: Closing The Gate.” Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 was scheduled for 23 episodes, which had already aired its course. So, there won’t be Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 24. However, the studio house hasn’t yet announced whether it will return with a special episode.
