However, the only survived left in his family is his uncle and step-mother. Uhtred, along with Brida, a Saxon girl, is taken slave and is settled in Danish Northumbria. Slowly, the place becomes familiar to them. The story continually checks the loyalties of its characters. Indeed, we see Uhtred’s loyalties being put on test by Danes.

Will Brida Betray Uhtred?
Brida had to face a lot in the story. She no more knows whom to trust and whom to not. However, we have seen her being captured by the Welsh King. But, later, she was saved by Sigtryggr, the Viking warlord. However, in return, she helps him and his men to plan for winning Winchester.
By the end of the fourth installment, we saw the desperation in the eye of Brida. She was desperate to make Uhtred feel the same pain which she was going through. There was a head-to-head fight between them. The anger may outrage in the coming season.
The Last Kingdom Season 5 might see Brida reuniting with Sigtryggr to take down Uhtred. If Uhtred interferes in the path of Brida, she will surely take him down. Let us wait to see who wins and who loses.
The Last Kingdom Season 5: Another Time Jump?
We expect the coming season to face another time jump. This jump might present the growth of King Edward’s sons Aethalsten and Aelfweard. If the time jump happens or not, one thing is sure that there is going to be more threats ahead.
There will be a matter of survival. Danes have lost a huge amount of land. However, they may claim to get it back. On the other side, Scots have started marching southward.
Upcoming Casts
Fans won’t see Ian Hart as Father Beocca, Toby Regbo as Aethelred, Magnus Brun as Cnut, and Adrian Bouchet as Steapa. Well, it seems that the character Aethelhelm will also not be seen for long enough in the story.
However, we will surely see more of Alexander Dreymon as Uhtred and Emily Cox as Brida in the long run. Nothing can be certainly said about other characters because anyone might die in the middle.
