Succession Season 3: HBO Teased Production Details, Major Cast Updates, And Release Date

HBO and Sky’s hit drama series has finally started filming for its next run, Succession Season 3 despite facing production delays due to the COVID-19. The comedy-drama received many critical acclaims throughout the two seasons, particularly for acting, writing, and production term. Also, Brain Cox teased that the third season would be jolly thrilling than ever.

Well, the show has earned many acclaims and awards, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series-Drama, British Academy Television Award for Best International Programme, and Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series. The show follows the Roy family and war for the rights of their family company, in which Logan Roy’s children battle for the company while his health stays unstable.

Succession Season 3: Has Filming Resumed For The Next Season?

Currently, several rumors surfaced on the internet regarding the filming of the third season. Recently, Casey Bloys, HBO chief content officer, confirmed that the filming has resumed. Originally, pre-production started in March 2020 when the global pandemic first hit the world. That lead to several delays as the series couldn’t continue filming at that time.

Casey added that although their team thought to film in Los Angeles when the pandemic first strike. As it was the safest place with fewer COVID-19 cases in terms of New York. Later, the plan changed, and the team decided to wait until New York made any progress. Thus, instead of changing location, the third season halted. But, the filming started in mid-November 2020 in New York City.

Succession Season 3: Who Will Be In The Cast?

Recently, HBO announced that some new members would join the black-comedy drama Succession Season 3. In which, the South Korean singer Jihae Kim will play a leading public relations consultant Berry Schneider. While Sanaa Latha will portray a high-profile New York lawyer Lisa Arthur. Linda Emond will play a senior White House aide Michelle-Ane Vanderhoven.

Apart from them, the core members will return to reprise their role. These include Jeremy Strong as Kendall Roy, Sarah Snook as Siobhan “Shiv” Roy, and Kieran Culkin as Romulus Roy. Nicholas Bruan as Greg Hirsch will return with Matthew Macfadyen as Tom Wambsgans. Brian Cox as Logan Roy will return with Justine Lupe as Willa Ferreyra. Fisher Stevens as Higo Baker, and David Rasche as Karl Muller will join as well.

Succession Season 3: Brain Cox Teased What To Expect

Although the plot for the third season remained under wrap yet, Brain Cox teased the third season would be exciting and thrilling. Brain said that they never knew what would happen in the next episode. But, when Armstrong told him about the next series, he fell off his chair. However, the plot is kept hidden from the cast until they begin production. The following season will pick up from where it left off. Now it’s interesting how everything would continue.

Succession Season 3: When To Expect?

The fans have started teasing a tentative release date soon after Jesse Armstrong resumed filming in New York. On which, Casey Bloys said that although it seems they are back in the normal world. But he believed that Succession Season 3 would release in the fourth quarter of 2021, as it’s tough to predict now as they wouldn’t sure about further COVID-related delays. Currently, they are only aware of HBO’s timeline.
