The Emmy acclaimed series geared up to return to Showtime early next month with Vice Season 8. Now, the audience can see the current events occurring all around the world. Particularly those that kept under wrap from the viewers’ eyes. However, it’s quite challenging to collect such news during the pandemic time. But, the series founders have done this incredible work.

Vice landed back in April 2013, is a documentary series on HBO. However, after HBO canceled the show in February 2019, Showtime picked it up on September 24, 2019. Soon the network resumed airing the prime news from March 29, 2020. It follows several social and political subjects. The host and founders Shane Smith and Suroosh Alvi, with Thomas Morton and Ryan Duffy, traveled through different parts of the world. So they can capture interviews on various topics.

Showtime has ordered another season of Vice shortly after it received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series. It’s been two years since Showtime revived the series after being canceled by HBO. Even Showtime EVP Vinnie Malhotra appreciated the hard work of the team. Especially that the founders and host did to bring the incredible collection of events worldwide. Vinnie also said they are anxiously waiting to see what next Vice would bring on their plate.

However, in a recent press release, the network revealed what will happen in the upcoming season. Vice will return with more groundbreaking stories from its global journalists’ team. It will follow the issues from Nigeria’s police brutality to President Trump’s shocking foreign policy’s result in Iran and Yemen.

Further, in the US, the show will continue exploring the racial count in the country. Even each half-hour episode of Vice Season 8 or 2 will steadily pursue the untold hidden stories. It will follow issues related to civil rights, social justice. Meanwhile dealing with critical geopolitical stories remotely from the different parts of the world. The recently released trailer also highlights the protest within the country and global condition in the current year.

Vice Season 8: Who Will Be In The Cast?

Vice Season 8 will continue its quest with its diverse award-winning journalists. It will return with its founders Shane Smith and Suroosh Alvi.
