Archie returned to Riverdale after seven long years at the beginning of the fifth season. He found out that Hiram Lodge had taken over the town and the high school’s authority. The town’s condition under Hiram had degraded significantly with the rise in crimes and mysterious disappearances. Archie got along with his friends after years and decided to take back the town from Hiram.
In the finale, Archie managed to chase Hiram out of the town. However, he planted a bomb below Archie’s bed before leaving. The premiere episode of Riverdale Season 6 will air on November 16, 2021. The CW will air each new episode weekly on Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. ET, with an estimated runtime of 45 minutes. The first part will finish airing on December 14 before going for a mid-season break. The rest of season 6 will continue airing in March 2022.
