In the ninth episode of 9-1-1 Season 5 titled “Past Is Prologue,” the 118th will race against the town to save two women stuck in their car after the vehicle subsided in a sinkhole. The sinkhole might be there due to the eruption of an abandoned oil well just below the road.
One of the women will be severely injured and will suffer from internal bleeding. Hen says that the woman will drown in her blood if she is not taken out from the car in the promo. However, the team cannot use the metal cutter with the oil all around the car. Thus, the 188th will have to think out of the box to rescue the women before time runs out in 9-1-1 Season 5 Episode 9.

The squad entered the building and managed to rescue the victims that were trapped inside the hospital. They also rescued the young boy and David.
