I think to try and eke more out would be wrong, I like where we’ve left it.” “Put it this way, if for some reason we hadn’t been allowed to do season two, I would have been really gutted. Which I think shows that it was the right thing to do – for me, anyway. And I think I like where we end it [in season two], and yeah, it feels right for the story.”

Covel also added, “But you never know, and you obviously you can’t write for what people want,” she added. “I think you have to work out what’s right for the characters and the story – I sound like such a dick saying that but I think you can’t, you’re not doing fan fiction.”

In some ways, the season 2 finale of The End of the F***ing World feels like a proper conclusion. While staring towards the sky, James and Alyssa declare their love for one another and clasp hands. So, what could’ve happened next? For The End Of The F***ing World Season 3, James and Alyssa strive to live a regular life but are drawn back into an intensely exhilarating existence.

Of course, they don’t want to hurt anyone, but their characteristics may take them into some tricky situations, causing both characters to wonder if they’re the ideal match. Fans of The End Of The F***ing World may recognize Jessica Barden as Alyssa, one of the show’s two leads. Her breakthrough performance on the show has tremendously boosted her career. Barden has returned to the parallel cinema circuit with a new short film, Hearts Of Stone, which was released this year. Barden plays Agatha, while Noomi Rapace plays Paula in the film. Jessica Barden will also star alongside John Malkovich and Alex Wolff in the thriller The Line. 

The identity of the character that Barden will play is presently unknown. The project, however, is now in pre-production, with no release date set as of this writing. In addition, Jessica is also working on a British film, The Dead Spit Of Kelly, but we don’t have more details about her project as of now.
