BBC One’s gripping British crime drama series The Outlaws has just premiered on Amazon Prime and has been gaining a lot of attention from fans and critics. At the end of the first season, Spider survives Ben’s shooting. No,w fans are excited to find out what The Outlaws Season 2 has in the cards for them. So, let’s delve into what we know about it.

   

What Will The Outlaws Season Be About?

In the first season of the series, Ben seizes a fat dough from a rival gang leader’s home. Viewers also learn that The Dean is protected by the Brookhill Crew. On the other hand, Spider was shot by Esme, and Ben took her to an Airbnb. Although, Ben was eventually caught by the gang, and Detective Lucy learned the truth about the shooting incident.

After that, Ben admits the crime and is ready to sever his sentence. However, Spider’s life is saved. As a result, Ben and the rest of the crew get away with only 100 hours of community service due to Diane’s efforts. Meanwhile, Frank was whitewashing Banksy’s mural at the end of the season.

Upon its return with The Outlaws Season, 2 will continue the story after the events of the first season. There will be fresh troubles for the characters in season 2. As Ben and Rani become were getting close in the first season, we may see them moving forward in the upcoming season. Furthermore, God willing, Rani may return to Oxford, and Esme may finally understand the consequences of her actions.

As Esme failed the exam in season one, she might decide to reappear for it. The second season may also feature Ben and Esme reuniting with their mother. The Outlaws Season 2 will also reveal whether Gabby manages to organize her music festival and if she marries sad-sack nerd Greg.

When Will The Outlaws Season 2 Release?

The first season of the crime drama series was released on Amazon Prime Video on April 1, 2022. However, for the audience in the UK, the series ran from October 25 to November 22, 2021. On the other hand, the fans will be delighted to know that BBC renewed the series for The Outlaws Season 2 in January 2022. 

However, the production of the second season suffered some delays due to covid 19. While talking about The Outlaws Season 2, showrunner Stephen Merchant stated, “It is the same bunch, We started filming last February, and we got shut down ten days after we started because of COVID. And then I said to the BBC, ‘Well, I’m just going to be twiddling my thumbs now. So can I write a second series? And then we’ll film both backs to back?’ So, even though a confirmed release date hasn’t been out for the second season, it is expected to release in late 2022.

Who Will Feature In The Second Season?

The main cast roaster of the crime drama series feature Rhianne Barreto as Rani Rekowski, Darren Boyd as John Halloran, and Gamba Cole playing Christian Taylor. In the series also, Clare Perkins plays Myrna Okeke, Eleanor Tomlinson in the role of Lady Gabriella Penrose-Howe, and Jessica Gunning as Diane Pemberley. Then we have Stephen Merchant playing Gregory Dillard, Charles Babalola as Malaki, and Christopher Walken appearing as Frank Sheldon.

Meanwhile, other cast members in the series include Nina Wadia as Shanthi Rekowski. Tom Hanson as Spencer and Aiyana Goodfellow as Esme. Then, Gyuri Sarossy is seen as Jerzy Rekowski. James Nelson-Joyce plays Spider while Claes Bang plays The Dean. And Grace Calder appears as DS Lucy Haines. In addition, other cast members are Julia Davis as Rita and Elizabeth Dulau can be seen as Lesley. If the series is recommissioned for The Outlaws Season 2, most of the main cast members will likely be back in their roles.
