Inside No. 9 Season 7 Episode 1, titled “Merrily, Merrily,” is directed by Al Campbell, while Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith wrote it. Laurence decided to reunite with his old university pals, Darren and Callum, at a remote lake. They decided to spend their time chatting and boating in the lake. But it didn’t go as per their plan. Things turned drastic, and we can see that from Callum’s expression.
Meanwhile, Darren has bought his new girlfriend, who looks quite young. The place has changed now compared to the past. When they were in the college, the lake’s water level was quite high. But now, most of the amount of water has passed under the bridge. So things aren’t the same as they are supposed to be. However, they managed to stick to their reunion and chat into choppier waters.
