Based on Philip K. Dick’s book titled Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? Michael Dinner and Ronald D. Moore developed the series. The show was initially scheduled to air on AMC but later shifted to Channel 4 in the US and UK. Soon after this, Amazon Prime Video bought the series rights, and it was later streamed on the streaming platform globally. Electrical Dreams debuted on September 14, 2017, and ran until March 19, 2018.

The first season of Electric Dreams gained a hike in viewership, and it soon became the most-watched show on Channel 4. The series explored how things work in the digitally powered world. Many love the concept of the series and are also waiting to learn more about it. But unfortunately, Channel 4 and Amazon Prime haven’t revealed the future of the series. Currently, the series status is in limbo. It’s been more than three years. The network remained mum when it comes to Electric Dreams Season 2.

However, it gained 73% positive responses on Rotten Tomatoes, while on Metacritic, it gained 68 out of 100. Even the series nailed in IMDb as well as it received a 7.2/10 positive response. Further, the series received six nominations for its exceptional performance, yet the network hasn’t renewed the series for the second season.
Electric Dreams Season 2: Who Will Be In The Cast?
Well, the series followed an anthology-style, with each episode delving into a whole new character’s storyline. Thus, if it returns for the second season, it might also explore different storylines in each episode. So there’s a chance that the show could bring a whole new cast. But there’s a possibility that the first season cast might return to play a new character. These include Richard Madden, Steve Buscemi, Liam Cunningham, Anna Paquin, Greg Kinnear, and Bryan Cranston.

Electric Dreams Season 2: Release Date
Electric Dreams’ first season wrapped up airing in 2018, and it’s been three years since fans have been waiting for Electric Dreams Season 2. So if the network renews the series in the summer of 2022, then we can expect that till fall, the show might undergo production. Hence Electric Dreams Season 2 will air sometime in late 2023.
