The series focus on Soo’s battle on how she became caught up in a political environment where lives were at risk. As they become embroiled in a competition that compels them to murder one another for the King’s throne. Her relationship with the royal princes is also impacted.

The first season of the Kdrama series premiered on SBS on August 1, 2016. Meanwhile, the season ended with its twentieth episode premiering on November 1, 2016.
