The Crown Prince discovered Jo Won-bo had some evil means in the previous episode. The tragedy that took place a decade ago had some connection with Jo Won-bo, and the Crown Prince believed that Jo Won-bo lied and manipulated the King. So he asked the King to reopen the Byeokcheon case, and if Jo Won-bo came out guilty, he should be exempted from the official’s gifts and position.
