Kingdom is a famous manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara. It began serialization in 2006 and is currently in the run with a total of fifty-seven volumes, as of March 2020. Due to its immense popularity and potential, the action manga was picked up for an anime adaptation in 2012. The debut season was received fairly well by audiences and critics alike. Within a year, the series returned for a sequel, whereas the third season aired after six years in April 2020.

Third Season Delayed Due To Coronavirus Pandemic!

Fans had to wait for long to watch Season 3 of their favorite show. Sadly, the installment had to be delayed after releasing only four episodes. The Coronavirus pandemic has affected a lot of industries and businesses in the last few months. It has also canceled/delayed several tv shows and animes, as well. The third season of Kingdom had to face the wrath of the situation too.

On April 27, 2020, it was announced that the television premiere of all Kingdom Season 3 episodes had been delayed after the fourth one. Episode 5 of the installment was expected to air on May 4, 2020. However, it was delayed back then and is currently on hold. The third season may now take even longer to hit the screens again. Kingdom Season 4: Anime Renewal

Studio Signpost may not announce the renewal for another season until Season 3 concludes. Being a three cour season (a cour is a three-month broadcasting gap), it will take longer to complete. Besides, due to the delay (Covid-19 Pandemic), the third installment might run until December 2020 or early 2021. Once its finale airs, the studio might greenlight Kingdom Season 4.

What will Kingdom Season 4 be about?

Yasuhisa Hara’s popular manga series has been running for almost fifteen years and has a total of 57 volumes (as of March 2020). The first season of its anime adaptation consumed 173 out of the 624 manga chapters available. Studio Pierrot then slowed down the pace of the anime in the second season which adapted only 78 chapters.

The mangaka previously confirmed that the third season of the anime would cover the Coalition Invasion story arc. Hence, its story will begin from Chapter 261 through 356, adapting a total of 96 chapters. Thus, the studio has more than enough source material left for Kingdom Season 4 and ahead. The fourth season is likely to continue the plot from Chapter 357. As per speculation, the installment might cover around four or five story arcs. Hence, it might feature the Koku You Campaign arc, the Beuracrats Job story arc, and the Western Zhao Invasion arc.

Will Kingdom Season 4 Be The Last Season?

All seasons of the Kingdom anime series have been quite profitable for its producers. The series is also highly popular and maintains a substantial viewership. Hence, the studio might continue the anime until they have enough source material to adapt. Luckily, mangaka Yasuhisa Hara confirmed that his goal is to continue the manga until 100 volumes. It was then revealed that it will be a standalone One Shot manga and will continue the original story. In no time, fans started speculating whether Light will return in the sequel or not. Death Note: Special One Shot was cherished by the franchise’s fanbase. It also received fairly positive reviews from readers and critics alike. However, a large number of fans rejected the ending of the sequel. They complained that the new manga was not as thrilling as the original books.

Death Note Season 2: Anime Renewal 

The 2007 anime series is still the best adaptation of its manga. Despite heavy demand, Studio Madhouse never renewed the anime for a second round. However, the main reason behind the same was the lack of source material. The television animated series had already consumed almost all volumes of the manga (leaving Volume 12). Hence, Death Note Season 2 never made it to the screens all these years.

However, now that the new standalone manga has released, the creators will finally have a storyline for S2. The recently released Death Note: Special One Shot took unexpected turns. The story takes place ten years after the events of the original manga. Although we move on from Light Yagami’s story, Shinigami Ryuk returns to the human world. He approaches a middle-school student Minoru Tanaka who’s as intelligent as L. However, unlike the previous lead character, Minoru decides to sell off the power of Kira to the highest bidder. As soon as the auction goes public, different world leaders, including the presidents of China and the US (appearing similar to the real-life presidents), start bidding for the Death Note. However, things go downhill after the bidding proceeds.

According to reports, Madhouse might adapt this story as the plot of Death Note Season 2. However, as fans did not like the end of the Special One Shot manga, we hope that the studio will come up with another conclusion.

Death Note Season 2: Release Date

We’re already halfway through 2020, and Madhouse (or another studio) is yet to renew Death Note Season 2. However, it’s likely that the renewal will arrive later this year. Being a massive project, the sequel might have a long production schedule. As of now, a late-2021 release date seems most plausible. We will update this section once the official date is announced.

In the midway of the ninth season, detective inspector Jack Mooney (Ardal O’Hanlon) left the fictional island, Saint Marie, to return London with his daughter. However, his place was soon filled by Neville Parker (Ralf Little). Initially, he hated the slow-moving life on the island. But later, he adapted to the slow-paced life and the nature around him. In the end, Parker was rewarded as a permanent member of the Honore Police force. But, BBC One announced that they had made some major changes in the series cast.

Death In Paradise, created by Robert Thorogood, is a detective fiction series on BBC One and France 2. It follows British detective Richard Poole (Ben Miller), who’s assigned to investigate a British police officer murder on Saint Marie, the fictional Caribbean island. After his deliberate attempts, he successfully finds the murderer. However, when he reports his superiors about that, he was ordered to change the victim and continue as the island head detective inspector. Later he was involved in solving new cases, but in the third run, he was murdered too.

Last month, BBC One declared that two cast members are leaving the show in the next run. That includes Officer Ruby Patterson (Shyko Amos) and DS Madeleine Dumas (Aude Legastelois). In a short time, Ruby Patterson received great love from the audience. She made her debut back in the eighth season, where she brought law and order back to the island with a blend of joy. But, sadly, she wouldn’t last for more chapters.

Unfortunately, Dumas would no longer be a part of the series. Recently the network stated that Dumas would leave the shore of Saint Marie. However, they are glad that Dumas is part of their set and wishes best for the future. They said: “DS Madeleine Dumas will be departing Saint Marie’s sunny shores. Thank Aude Legastelois-Bidé for bringing Madeleine to life and wish all the very best for the future.”

However, the network didn’t reveal how Dumas would exit from the tenth season. As we all know, Dumas became the critical member of the Honore Police force. Initially, she was assigned to make an eye on DI Mooney. But later, she fell in love with the job and sunny island Saint Marie. So, she decided to continue her job there.

Further, nobody has seen her homesick wondering to return to her place. So the only thing left for her is that Dumas might die in the next season. Would it happen? Well, DI Richard Poole, the lead of the series had left in the third season. He was killed in the third chapter with an ice pick. This is how DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) entered the force. So, it could be possible that the same storyline would follow in the Dumas case.

DS Florence Cassell Returns To The Island

The network has already confirmed that Former DS Florence Cassell (Josephine Jobert) will join them in the next run. Apparently, she would reprise her role. Succession Season 3: Upcoming Cast

We can expect the return of all the significant leads in the upcoming season.
