They will be thrilled to know that MCU’s creative head Kevin Fiege has confirmed the return of the series.
Daredevil is an American superhero action crime series developed by Drew Goddard for Netflix. Based on Marvel comics, the show follows Matt Murdock, a lawyer in the day. But he becomes the titular vigilante in the night fighting crime in the streets of New York City. To make up for his vision inability, Matt has trained himself and enhanced his other senses to the superhero extent. However, criminals are not the only ones he is fighting against. He also has to battle his inner darkness every day.
Charlie Cox Will Be MCU’s Daredevil!
Daredevil has been one of the most acclaimed superhero series of all time. Over its run of three seasons, the series has gained immense critical acclaim for its dark tone, raw action, and multilayered characters. Meanwhile, fans were also mesmerized by the series. Thus, they were very disappointed when Netflix canceled the series before Daredevil Season 4 in 2018. The reason behind the cancelation was some conflict between Marvel and Netflix.
Now, fans can take a sigh of relief as there is a hint that Daredevil will return for a fourth season. Marvel CEO Kevin Feige has confirmed that if Matt Murdock appears in the future of Marvel shows, Charlie Cox will play the character. Feige confirmed the revelation while addressing the media during the press tour for Tom Holand’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
He said, “If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil.” However, the announcement also reveals that Cox has not been cast in any MCU movie. Marvel’s CEO has also stated that if the franchise decides to include Daredevil, the actor will return as the role.
Daredevil In Spider-Man No Way Home?
Spider-Man No Way Home is one of the most anticipated films in the MCU. And avid fans have been wondering about an array of possibilities for the upcoming film. There were rumors on the internet that Cox would appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home to play Peter Parker after Mysterio revealed his true identity.
Meanwhile, Tom Holland has lately expressed his feelings on Charlie Cox’s Daredevil sharing the screen with him. The actor praised Cox’s work in the Netflix series Daredevil, as well as his co-star Vincent D’Onofrio’s performance. Tom also expressed his desire for Spidey and Daredevil to team up in the future.
