Thus, the network renewed the second installment in August 2020, a month after the show’s debut. Produced by Argos Communication, the Mexican thriller drama has managed to make a name among audiences worldwide. Dark Desires Season 2: What To Expect?
The previous season focused on the mystery around Brenda’s death. Her death was ruled as a suicide, but Alma and Esteban refused to believe it. Eventually, it turned out that Brenda had killed herself. She was sleeping with her best friend Alma’s husband, Leonardo. Meanwhile, Alma was sleeping with Brenda’s boyfriend Esteban, eventually resulting in her death.
Further, the quest for wealth ensued between Dario’s father, Antonio, and his uncle Alberto. Dario’s grandfather excluded Alberto out of his will. So, Alberto teamed up with corrupt cop Esteban and framed Antonio for Leslie and Delgado’s murder. However, the move did not work out as planned. Antonio killed himself before he could transfer the Guerra fortune to Alberto. Thus, Dario became the heir of his grandfather’s lavish fortune. In the finale, it was revealed that Dario had not died in the fire. He and Esteban burned Jose Luiz Valdez’s body to portray Dario’s murder. Moreover, Alma decided to leave Leonardo, who eventually got shot.
