A Quick Recap

In the premiere episode, the fans finally witnessed the after-match of the rescue team stuck in a sinking boat. Severide tries to explode his way out of the boat. Meanwhile, Casey grabs a tank and rushes out on a boat to help her friends. As Casey arrives, Tonny and Capp surface up to the water. However, Severide is still underwater, trying to rescue the unconscious Cruz in the first episode of Chicago Fire season 10.

Finally, Severide brings Cruz out of the water, but he isn’t breathing. The squad gets tensed as Cruz gets CPR. With his wife pregnant, it would have been disheartening if Cruz could not make it. However, Cruz does survive, but he is still affected by the traumatic experience when he returns to work a week later. Further, to help Cruz relax, Capp tells him that Severide went beyond limits to save Cruz. Later, he thanks Severide, while Hermann plans a surprise baby shower for Cruz and Chloe in the premiere episode of Chicago Fire Season 10.

Meanwhile, Boden announces that he has been chosen for Deputy District Chief, which left Firehouse 51 in an emotional state. While the crew congratulated Boden, Stella told him that things would not be the same in Boden’s absence. At the baby shower, Stella apologizes to Boden for the emotional speech. Further, Boden tells her that crew will feel the same when Stella moves on to become a Lieutenant.
