Later, Duke returned to his native town to appear in An Echo in the Bone. After then, he played several small roles in TV series such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Modern Family. However, 2018 was a lucrative year for him as he got a chance to play M’Baku in Marvel’s Black Panther. Soon his career took an upturn gaining popularity for his role.

He then appeared in the blockbuster horror film Us and the Apple TV+ drama series Swagger. But he was replaced by O’Shea Jackson Jr. in 2020 due to his injury. Based on the 2013 novel Robert B. Parker’s Wonderland by Ace Atkins, Spenser Confidential follows the story of Boston police officer Spenser. He was sent to jail after pleading guilty to assaulting one of the suspects, Captain John Boylan, involved in Gloria Weisnewski’s murder case. However, after returning from prison, he studied to become a truck driver in Arizona. But he couldn’t leave Boston. When someone murdered Boylan, the detective started questioning Spenser. However, Spencer’s former partner urged him to leave the city.

American action comedy film debuted back in 2020 and ended on a cliffhanger note. However, despite its high-ending action and unique storyline, the movie received a mixed reaction. It gained 37% on Rotten Tomatoes and 49 out of 100 positive ratings by critics on Metacritic. Even New York Times criticized the film for not following up with the source material as it had no resemblance to Ace Atkin’s novel.

He said in an interview that he’s an artist and he knew what he was doing.

But the filmmaker said Pope didn’t belong to their tribe and continued to harass him with words. Pope said it is a common fear among LGBTQ actors. If they publicly come out gay, then it limits their opportunity in Hollywood. They can only play gay. But Pope said his queerness was just a layer and didn’t define who he was. In the previous episode, Gary Drayton and Jack Begley found an exciting artifact in Lot 8. The ornate artifact was a flat, decorated object with symbols on either side. The artifact was perfectly fitted in the palm of Gary’s hand. The archaeology team seemed baffled by such an artifact, stating they had never seen something like this. They figured out that the artifact was a copper alloy after testing it in the XRF machine. But the symbol and markings on the artifact suggested that it was an old object. Despite the use of a CT Scanner, the object remained a mystery.

Soon the team went to see Dr. Edwin Barnhart, a specialist in the Mayan civilization and archaeologist. But he also appeared confused by the object and asked them to let him study it in detail. Barnhart speculated that the artifact could be a religious icon and used in a ceremonial function, and it possibly came from European. The team previously discovered a gemstone from a brooch on Lot 8. But later, they figured out it could be a masonic ceremonial breastplate. So perhaps it could be linked.
